Lights of Asia – Our Star Students

Fortune has favored two beloved students of Hanyuan Mandarin School — Mr.Tajitsu and Mr. Sakurai — who were lucky enough to win match tickets for Group F of the World Cup! They immediately embarked on a two-week journey across the United States and will act as official special correspondents for our institute, delivering exclusive live on-location reports straight from the tournament grounds:

We’re a pair of fun-loving travel companions who landed in Dallas on the 13th, setting foot on American soil once again after more than 30 years.

On the 14th, the Samurai Blue went head-to-head against the Netherlands’ Oranje squad. Surprisingly, all the local fans’ attention was drawn to an unexpected person. It wasn’t the brilliant Virgil van Dijk, the fan-favorite handsome Keito Nakamura, nor Daizen Kamada whose passes are precise down to the millimeter — it was an elderly Japanese man with snow-white hair that stole the spotlight.

In football, people often praise players as touchline magicians, but this gentleman is truly a magician when it comes to his hairline!

Honestly, this opening match was a must-not-lose game for us. At our age, protecting our hairlines is another battle we refuse to concede.

The Netherlands ranks highly in the FIFA world rankings. Though Japan failed to repeat the underdog giant-killing miracle from the last tournament, the team fought relentlessly to earn a draw — and most importantly, we held onto our precious hairlines❗

We’ve gained one crucial point, and now we’re heading to Mexico to cheer for Japan with our national flag waving proudly!

We later took advantage of the five-day break between matches and flew all the way to Los Angeles to visit Dodger Stadium。
